ZERA GmbH
ZERA GmbH was established in 1920 and is an independent partner for Energy Meter Testing. With over 100 years in operation, ZERA specializes in the manufacture of Meter Testing Equipment, Test Systems for E-mobility and equipment for testing Instrument Transformers and Switchgears. This equipments are used for producing, measuring, testing and calibrating electrical quantities.
Meter Test Systems
A wide range of meter testing devices ranging from Portable Reference Meters to customized semi-automatic devices with over 40 measuring stations with the highest accuracy of measurement.
These include Portable Reference Meters, Portable Sources and Portable Test Systems with accuracy classes ranging from 0.1 to 0.05. They are designed for testing Meter installations on site, with functionalities that that meet all requirements for comprehensive meter testing. Functions include direct measurements up to 12A/300V and 30000A via provided current clamps.
When testing meter installations on site, a sufficient load to achieve reliable results is achieved by our Portable Sources that can generate up to 120A and 500V.
Our Portable Test Systems are reference meters with integrated current and voltage source of up to 120A/500V. They are applicable for on-site measurements with load simulation and simulation of loads while testing meter installations on site. They are used for Accuracy Measurements, Instrument Transformer Testing, Automatic Measurements, Burden measurements for CT/VT installations, Energy dosage, Selective Power Measurements and Harmonics generation up to the 40th harmonics.
Our range of Stationary Meter Testing devices include Meter Test Systems for AC and Meter Test Systems for DC. We further have Source Systems, Test Benches, Sensors, Measuring Systems and Complete Systems.
-
Single-Position Test Bench with one single test position for testing 3 phase energy meters.
-
Multi-Position Test Benches with 5, 10, 20 or 40 test positions for testing single and three phase energy meters.
-
Digital Measuring Systems are used for Testing metrology and data communication, testing intelligent measuring systems and smart meter gateway for smart Energy Meters. Communication tests done include DLMS/COSEM, TLS, HDLC, IEC 62056-21, SML/COSEM etc.
Complete Systems comprise Semi-automatic Test Systems for Quality Assurance testing of energy meters, Functional Testing equipment for testing of magnetic sensors, motion sensors, housing switch etc., and Special Designs Test Benches with the highest possible equipment Light curtain, integrated source, movable meter racks, scanner, PC, retractable castors etc.
ZERA Reference Standards encompass the highest accurate and reliable Comparators, Reference Multimeters and Electronic Reference Meters in the market. With their high accuracy of up to 0.005, repeatability, and guaranteed precision, you can be assured of reliable results in your measurements.
Test Systems E-mobility
Our test systems for AC and DC e-charging stations are useful when you need to quickly and easily perform direct measurements on your vehicle and the charging station. Notable characteristics of our e-mobility test sets include current measurements of up to 80A AC and 500A DC, high accuracy, combined test case for AC and DC charging stations, safety features such as Electromechanical plug locking of the connections, detection of the charging cable type, overcurrent detection of the DC high current pins and temperature monitoring of the of the AC contacts and the DC high-current contacts.
The stationary AC test stations for electric vehicle charging stations generate up to 120A/320V AC with an accuracy class of 0.02. Their DC counterparts generate 1000A/1500V DC with an accuracy of 0.04.
Instrument Transformer & Switchgear Testing
Our transformer test systems include equipment for testing and calibrating current instrument transformers, voltage instrument transformers and complete systems for testing CTs and VTs. The instrument transformers must have high level of accuracy to ensure proper billing and function properly for safety and reliability purposes.
